90后的英语演讲稿 篇1

Honorable judges, distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen:

It is a great honor and pleasure to be here on this beautiful Saturday morning to share with you my sentiments about life and passion for the English language.

About a year and a half ago, I took part in my very first English Speech Contest. When I stood before the microphone with all eyes starring directly at me, I could hardly speak. I stood there, embarrassed and helpless, struggling in vain for the right thing to say. My fears had paralyzed me.

While my passion for English has never changed, I lost my courage to speak in public. When my professor again encouraged me to take part in this Competition, I said “no.” I couldn’t endure yet another painful experience. He looked me straight in the eye and said something that pierced my heart. I will never forget his words. “Look,” he said, “We all have our fears, and you have yours. You could twist your ankle in a basketball game, but then be afraid to ever play again. Running away can never dispel your fears, but action will. A winner is not one who never fails, but one who never quits.”

I spent a whole day with his words twisting and turning in my mind. Then I made the bravest and wisest decision of my life: I would face my fears – and take part in the competition!

As it turned out, my dear old professor was right. Now, here I am, once again standing before a microphone. My heart is beating fast, and my mouth is dry, but most importantly, I have faced my fears -- and that makes all the difference!

Thank you.

Maybe you are surprised why I choose this ,there is a re I met my boyfriend,I knew nothing about football and would change channel immediately if a football game was everything changed at the end of last term.

He——my beloved, broke into my heart with his beloved has a fanatical enthusiasm to watch matches in deep night and a "football brain" to remember all those stars' names, nicknames, likes and dislikes, the clubs' histories and the coaches' preferred tactics and so also he is a member of the college team, and plays it twice a week at ver,I can only become a mute every time the round ball rolls between us.

One afternoon I was in dormitory and had nothing to do,and then I missed ding on the balcony,I could see the court clearly, and he was running, kicking and shooting as usual.I felt a little bit sense of mate made fun of me,"you're his wife, and football is his is always not the opponent of lover." Oh God!Will I become a "football widow"?Surely not!I decided to change myself instead of just waiting until the ball change to a I know more about football, the one who feel the sense of loss will be him.

Watching matches together with him, surfing the Internet for football news, and paying more attention to other football information,I became sensitive to this ually I was addicted to the excellent and popular sport.

I know many female fans scream when their favorite football stars appear despite they even don't know what is "offside".I won't be that kind of ball shows us not only those stars' individual charm but also the spirit of sport:strength and beauty, teamwork and fair example, formerly I thought David Beckham's appearance make him so popular but now I know that his long-pass and right-foot free kick are as outstanding as his appearance, and certainly, his pink news is also so outstanding as well.I used to believe that stars wouldn't be good ver,Raul's eternal celebration motion for score of kissing marriage ring really touched me and changed me.

Football is not only a sport to me.I have begun to go through the world and I will let it go on,not in order to frustrate my boyfriend, but because the football itself is waving to me.

90后的英语演讲稿 篇3

Hello, everyone! Good afternoon! I am very glad to have the chance to make this speech. My topic is: how to achieve success. First of all, let us see a story.

“Long long ago, there was a king who had a daughter as beautiful as a blooming rose. To all the men who came to the king's palace to ask for the hand of the princess, the old king gave them three tasks to be accomplished, each next to impossible. One day, there came up a handsome young prince in the king's palace." Well, you know the rest. The three tasks may be different in different versions, but the main plot is always the same, Prince successfully passed all the challenge and got the heart of the princess in time. And the ending is always the same, finishing with the line "And they live happily ever after."

Why aren't we tired of this story so beautiful, so uealistic (, I would say, so unimaginative ? How can a story like that can enduregenerations of repetition? The reason, I think, is that a typical success story like this is so close to our daily life. Moreover we can understand so deeply, it is not just a story, but a good will from people’s inner heart. By implication, we see a 4-step definitions of success: 1 ) a goal to be set. as represented by the beautiful princess. So you’d better find your princess as soon as possible; 2 ) challenges to be meet, as represented by the three tasks. Only if you directly meet the challenge, can you besuccessful; 3 ) the process of overcoming difficulties, as represented by the ordeals the youth goes through; 4 ) the reward of success, as represented by the happy marriage. That’s all! Find your princess, meet challenges, overcome difficulties, and have a good life.

Thank you!

We've all been taught that we should help people. It is the right thing to do and will make us popular with others. It may even win us favors in return. However, we must be realistic. We can't say yes to every request. If we did, we would fail or go crazy for sure. Sometimes we simply don't have the time to help. In this case, we must know how to say no politely.

When we need to say no, here is one method we can try. First, we should tell the truth. If we really can't do something, we should just say so. Second, we should remember to refuse requests politely. We must communicate clearly, but must also be sincere and sympathetic. A true friend will understand. Finally, we must not feel guilty about saying no. Sometimes refusing others is the right thing to do. It can save ourselves, and them, a lot of trouble. In short, we cannot please everyone all the time. Refusing favors is a part of life.

good morning ladies and gentlemen. today i’m very glad to be here with youto share my stories and opinions about reading. i love reading from the bottomof my heart. and i do learn a lot from books. i know the wonderful stories ofgreat heroes in history, secrets of nature, mysteries of ufo and our universe.to me , books are like a faithful friend, always around me , giving me enjoymentand wisdom. i remember when i was in primary school, ten or eleven years old, myfather borrowed some books from the library in his school. those were among thegreatest works of the world, including abrabian nights、the legend ofdeification, journey to the west, and the romance of the three kingdoms. thesebooks were all written in

ancient chinese characters but i tried to read the heavy books and weredeeply attracted. from then on, i spared every minute to read whatever i couldget. whenever i got a new book, i kept reading until i finished it despite timeand place. i read books even in class or just a few minutes before the exams. inmy mind, there is always an unforgettable scene: lying in bed, nervous butexcited, my friend and i read a book together in the weak light of a flashlight, with a quilt on us, in order not to be blamed by parents. all my classmatesthought i was crazy and gave me a nickname “bookworm”. so you can understand whyi got my eyes shortsighted.

till now, i still like reading as i used to. and i’m very

pleased to see that my ten-year-old son loves reading just like me. i havebought him many books. whenever you come into my home, you can find books inevery corner. but the place where my son and i enjoy reading most is in thetoilet. so it often happens in the morning: one is in the toilet readingsomething comfortably, while another

walking outside , shouting. for my age, i like to read magazines or shortstories to get relaxation as well as inspiration.

today we live in a world of prosperity. never before have we

faced so many temptation from the outside world. never before have we hadso many chances to enjoy our lives. we drive rather than walking; we go onlineto chat with people we’ve never met before instead of talking to friends aroundus. but there’s always something that cannot be replaced and forgotten., such asbooks. so i will allow myself to continue the journey in the ocean of booksuntil the very end of my life.

finally, i’d like to end my speech with a great philosopher, writer andthinker, francis bacon’s famous saying: reading makes a full man. studies servefor delight, for ornament, and for ability. thank you very much.
