耶！今天，我又拿了第一。

记得第一次上课默写单词的时候，我只打了80分，是全班最后一名。我感到很惭愧，为此李老师还和我谈过话，让我发奋努力超过他们。我自己也在心里暗暗地发誓，一定要努力，争取拿第一。

从这以后，老师只要求抄写的，我把它抄得全能默写出来；老师要求得读熟的课文，我把它读得能背下来，还能背得滚瓜烂熟，已至于别的同学读都没我背得流利；老师要求造5个句子，我把它翻倍，造10个句子。总之，每次我都比老师更严格要求自己。所以，到了第二次上课，读，听，背，写，我都是全班第一了。

为此，李老师为了激力其他的同学，在班上宣布：只要谁赶上或超过了我，就翻倍奖励小盾牌。可是，李老师却在背地里三翻五次的告诫我说："你一定要更加努力，不要停步不前，这样他们会很容易赶上你的。"

听了李老师的话后，我也就更加发奋了。因此，到现在为止，我一直保持着第一的这个位子。

从这里，我终于懂得了"只要功夫深，铁杵磨成针"的道理：只要你努力了，就没有干不好的事情。

有一次，我们考试英语，大家都考得很差，英语老师说：“英语在你们的心里都作为是一门副科，学起来感到枯燥无味，但是英语其实是主科。我们的许多同学都是语文、数学非常好，但英语却很差，都没考出好成绩，你们想一想，三门共三百分，就算你们语文、数学都考一百分，加起来共二百分，除三还是及格多一点。假如一个外宾来我们学校，你不懂英语怎么办哩！所以必须学好英语。我相信，同学一定会学好，对不对。同学们都异口同声的说：“对”。从老师这句话中我才深深体会到英语的重要性。从现在开始我要暗暗下定决心，把老师的话牢牢记在了心里，我要刻苦学习发奋图强把英语学好，将来还可以和外宾对话翻译，那该多方便呀！还能看懂外国的书籍，了解外国的先进经验，把外国的先进技术学到手，把祖国建设得更加繁荣富强。我一定要把各科学好考上重点高中，决不辜负老师对我们的期望。
